/* THE SOUND — Courts, brand v3 (September 2026 brand system)
   ============================================================
   Direction change, 16 Oct: the v1.1 Deep Night tokens read as muted —
   dim grey text, a green-tinted black, four different brasses depending
   on the page. Kevin's call: move Courts to the actual brand system in
   brand/the-sound-brand-2026-09/ — crisp, warm, high-contrast — ahead of
   the rest of the site.

   Source of truth, in priority order (per Kevin, 16 Oct — where two
   disagree, the first one listed wins):
     1. brand/the-sound-brand-2026-09/README.md
        + tokens-gradient-v3.css (the [data-stop="night"] block)
     2. brand/the-sound-brand-2026-09/brand-book-v1/brand-audit-2026-10-14.md
        (section 4, the decided defaults — brass pair, Night colour, one
        brass fill per screen)
     3. brand/the-sound-brand-2026-09/palette-v5.json (its own
        constants.brassOnDark/brassOnLight are a THIRD brass pair that
        disagrees with both of the above — the audit says retire it;
        tokens-gradient-v3.css's values win)

   Kit review, 16 Oct (Kevin, approved with fixes): the ground moves again,
   off the brand book's own Night (#1B1410) to #0C0A09 — "the deck's
   black", near-black rather than warm-brown-black. This is a DELIBERATE
   DEPARTURE from tokens-gradient-v3.css's own [data-stop="night"]
   --ground, scoped to Courts, pending Kevin's call on whether the whole
   brand follows. See docs/courts-tokens-v1-to-v3-diff.md for the numbers.
   Panels flip direction with it: one step LIGHTER than this near-black
   ground (not darker, as the first v3 pass had them, modeled on
   /welcome's recessed well) — still no outline.

   Scope: Courts only, loaded after styles/tokens.css and overriding just
   these variables, so the rest of the site is untouched. See
   docs/courts-tokens-v1-to-v3-diff.md for every value this changes, kept
   for the site-wide move once Kevin signs off on it there too.

   This file has no light-mode block — Courts is Night-only; see the
   brand audit's decision 3 ("site = Night ground... other grounds are for
   posts and ads, not app surfaces"). */

     The first v3 pass modeled panels on /welcome's live "Or share your

     near-black ground that read as barely-there, so panels now lift one
     step lighter instead — still a quiet, ~1.07:1 step (no outline, not
     a color block), just in the other direction. Not an explicit
